    Celebrate with the Children & Family Advocacy Center on June 5th as they host a Community Volunteer Day in honor of Founder’s Day. This special event commemorates the founding of the Center and celebrates the legacy of the late co-founder, David Engle, whose vision was to restore hope and rebuild lives impacted by trauma. On June 5th, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., volunteers will tackle gardening, storm debris clean-up, and landscaping tasks. This is a flexible, come-and-go event, and lunch will be provided to show appreciation. Attendees are encouraged to bring tools, supplies like mulch or weed barriers, and, if possible, larger equipment such as trailers or stump grinders. Beyond the classroom, JoElla led efforts to restore National Cemetery headstones, showing her dedication to preserving the legacy of those who served.
