One of the most talked-about installations from Momentous 2025 is soaring back to Bentonville. FIREBIRD by Touki Delphine, an immersive and interactive art installation made from more than 500 recycled car lights, is returning to the Momentary for a limited engagement from January 9 through February 15, 2026.
Set inside the Momentary’s Fermentation Hall, FIREBIRD is far more than an art exhibit, it’s a fully immersive concert and light spectacle that surrounds audiences with sound, motion, and glowing color. Inspired by Igor Stravinsky’s 1919 Firebird Suite, the installation transforms salvaged headlights, taillights, and turn signals into a living orchestra, choreographed to pulse, flash, and shimmer in perfect harmony with the music.
FIREBIRD is the work of Touki Delphine, an Amsterdam-based collective of musicians, performers, and visual artists known for pushing creative boundaries. For this XL, transatlantic version of the installation, the artists traveled across the United States, sourcing materials from American car graveyards to create a monumental piece that is as much about sustainability as it is spectacle.
The collective, made up of Bo Koek, Rik Elstgeest, Chris Doyle, and John van Oostrum, has gained international recognition for transforming recycled materials into jaw-dropping light and sound installations. Their work invites audiences to reconsider waste, technology, and the emotional power of art made from the everyday.
