  • The 11th Annual 40/29 And The Arkansas CW Toy Drive Was Great Success Thanks To Our Community Support!

    Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to our incredible community for their generous support of our local children's shelter. This past weekend marked the success of our 11th Annual 40/29 and The Arkansas CW Toy Drive, proudly sponsored by Whataburger, which benefitted the Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter. Thanks to your generosity, we collected $12,900 worth of toys and other holiday items for the shelter at Pleasant Crossing Walmart location on Friday. Plus, throughout the weekend we helped collect $2,290 in online donations and for a total of $15,190. The parade will wrap around the Downtown Bentonville Square, continuing along NW 2nd Street, before turning south onto A Street. From there, the route travels down A Street and finishes in front of First Baptist Church, located between SW 2nd and SW 3rd Streets. ⭐ Tips for Locals & Visitors Arrive early  to secure a good viewing spot and avoid traffic delays. Expect street closures and limited parking  — walking or carpooling is often easiest. Bring chairs, blankets, and warm layers  to stay cozy throughout the evening.     We need your help this holiday season! Join 40/29 and The Arkansas CW for the 11th Annual Toy Drive, brought to you by Whataburger, benefiting the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter. This year’s toy drive will take place in front of the Pleasant Crossing Walmart Supercenter in Rogers. Friday, December 5th from 6 AM – 6 PM. Bring a new, unwrapped toy to the event on Friday, and as a special thank-you, the first 100 donors on location will receive an exclusive CW teddy bear keychain (while supplies last).   • Christmas Honors: A Heartfelt Community Tradition

    Christmas Honors is a community-led volunteer event dedicated to honoring the fallen servicemen and women laid to rest at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Each December, thousands of volunteers gather to place a wreath on every headstone, more than 16,000 in total, creating a powerful display of gratitude and remembrance for the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice. Key Event Dates and Details Wreath Workshop & Assembly / Friday, December 5, 2025 Fort Smith Convention Center, Hall C 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Volunteers will gather to assemble thousands of wreaths in preparation for the placement ceremony. Trucks and trailers are needed to help transport completed wreaths from the convention center to the cemetery.
