- Crystal Bridges Museum and the Momentary Announce 2026 Exhibitions Celebrating the American Spirit
Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and the Momentary today announced its complete list of 2026 exhibitions, which celebrate the American spirit. At Crystal Bridges, a trio of exhibitions will explore distinct facets of American identity. America 250: Common Threads opens in March, exploring how 250 years of American art, from historic documents to art made today, have shaped civic participation, national symbolism, and community memory across generations. In the summer, Keith Haring in 3D, the first exhibition to reimagine iconic artist Keith Haring’s work in three dimensions, will open concurrently with Crystal Bridges’ major expansion. At the Momentary, two exhibitions will explore how everyday objects serve as powerful conduits for storytelling. Lucy Sparrow: The Beginning of Convenience will take visitors back in time through an immersive “time capsule” installation of a 1980s–90s Walmart-inspired supermarket featuring more than 20,000 hand-crafted felt replicas of supermarket products. A solo exhibition featuring the work of Chuck Ramirez will prompt viewers to consider that the goods people buy, consume, discard, or treasure are more than just things; they are evidence of life. The Greatest Wildlife Photographs and The Machine Behind the Art: Inside JR’s Printing Press will remain on view through June 7, 2026. On the global stage, visual artist and multi-platinum singer-songwriter Jewel will debut a major installation of her visual art practice at the Salone Verde in Venice, Italy, running concurrently with the Venice Biennale 2026. Presented in association with Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and curated by Joe Thompson, Matriclysm: An Archeology of Connections Lost explores themes of motherhood, feminine power, and the consequences of its loss. Celebrating 15 years in 2026, Crystal Bridges will open its 114,000-square-foot expansion to the public June 6 and 7, 2026. Designed by Safdie Architects and increasing the museum’s size by 50 percent, the expansion will add new galleries, educational spaces, art studios, a community floor, a café, and an outdoor plaza, all designed to deepen engagement and broaden access.

They continue to shine a light on the creative energy shaping the region’s fashion future, and our next featured designer is a name you’ll want to remember: Robert Apple. A student at the University of Arkansas, Robert is already turning heads with his dramatic, conceptual approach to design. Majoring in Apparel Merchandising, Robert’s work reflects a deep understanding of form, fabric, and emotion. His aesthetic centers on the striking use of flowing black textiles, creating garments that move with purpose and command attention. - The Momentary Launches Pastry Week: A Sweet Celebration of Baking, Art, and Community
Get ready to satisfy your sweet tooth and feed your creativity! The Momentary has announced an exciting new culinary experience, Pastry Week, happening December 3–6, 2025. This week-long celebration of all things pastry will feature hands-on workshops, film screenings, tastings, and engaging conversations with renowned chefs and local artisans. A Week of Workshops and Whimsy The Momentary Pastry Week invites both experienced bakers and enthusiastic beginners to roll up their sleeves for a variety of hands-on workshops. Chef Caroline Schiff, known for her imaginative flavor pairings and whimsical desserts, will lead both a Cookie Workshop and a Crostata Workshop. Chef Stacey Mei Yan Fong is returning to the Momentary for her second appearance, will share her expertise in creating the perfect pie during a Pie Making Workshop. Local favorites Markham & Fitz Chocolatiers will host a Chocolate & Wine Pairing Workshop, exploring how single-origin cacao and fine wines can complement one another in delicious harmony. More Than Baking: A Celebration of Pastry Culture In addition to workshops, visitors can explore The Baker’s Market, a curated pop-up featuring goods from local independent bakers. For a little friendly competition, bakers can show off their skills in The Pastry Week Panel and Cookie Contest, judged by a panel of experts.
