  • FIREBIRD Returns to the Momentary: A Mesmerizing Light and Sound Experience

FIREBIRD  at Momentous 2025. Photo Courtesy Carter Kirkland for the Momentary One of the most talked-about installations from Momentous 2025 is soaring back to Bentonville. FIREBIRD by Touki Delphine, an immersive and interactive art installation made from more than 500 recycled car lights, is returning to the Momentary for a limited engagement from January 9 through February 15, 2026. Set inside the Momentary’s Fermentation Hall, FIREBIRD is far more than an art exhibit, it’s a fully immersive concert and light spectacle that surrounds audiences with sound, motion, and glowing color. Inspired by Igor Stravinsky’s 1919 Firebird Suite , the installation transforms salvaged headlights, taillights, and turn signals into a living orchestra, choreographed to pulse, flash, and shimmer in perfect harmony with the music. FIREBIRD is the work of Touki Delphine, an Amsterdam-based collective of musicians, performers, and visual artists known for pushing creative boundaries. For this XL, transatlantic version of the installation, the artists traveled across the United States, sourcing materials from American car graveyards to create a monumental piece that is as much about sustainability as it is spectacle. The collective, made up of Bo Koek, Rik Elstgeest, Chris Doyle, and John van Oostrum, has gained international recognition for transforming recycled materials into jaw-dropping light and sound installations. Their work invites audiences to reconsider waste, technology, and the emotional power of art made from the everyday. What to Know Before You Go to FIREBIRD One of the best parts? FIREBIRD is completely free and open to the public. No tickets are required, and the 40-minute performance runs on a continuous loop during the Momentary’s regular open hours, making it easy to experience on your own schedule. Event Details at a Glance What:  FIREBIRD  by Touki Delphine When: January 9 – February 15, 2026 Where: The Momentary, Fermentation Hall507 SE E St, Bentonville, AR Cost: Free; no tickets required Whether you’re an art lover, music fan, or just looking for a truly unforgettable experience, FIREBIRD offers something rare: a moment of awe. • Randy Crouch: Survival of the Fiddlist Screens January 17 to Screen at the Mountain Music Fest

The River Valley Film Society, in partnership with the Ozark Mountain Music Festival, is bringing a one-of-a-kind cinematic experience to Eureka Springs this winter. On Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM, audiences are invited to a special screening of the documentary Randy Crouch: Survival of the Fiddlist  at The Auditorium in Eureka Springs. Tickets are $10 and available now at Ozarkstix.com . Admission is free for Ozark Mountain Music Festival pass holders, making this an accessible must-see event for music lovers, film fans, and cultural explorers alike. Directed by filmmaker Beth Turner, Randy Crouch: Survival of the Fiddlist  dives deep into the life and legacy of the man famously described as the “original psychedelic grunge hillbilly fiddle player from outer space.” The documentary traces the unconventional journey of Oklahoma musician Randy Crouch, whose fearless blend of psychedelic rock, grunge, and old-time Appalachian fiddle created a sound, and a lifestyle that defied categorization. More than a music documentary, the film explores themes of rebellion, freedom, creativity, and community, revealing how one fiercely independent artist left a lasting mark across multiple musical worlds. Crouch’s story is a celebration of counterculture and artistic authenticity, resonating with anyone who believes in forging their own path. The film previously screened at the 2025 Fort Smith International Film Festival, where it received an enthusiastic response from both moviegoers and music fans, further cementing its appeal across creative communities. “This screening is part of our ongoing effort to integrate the art of film into festivals and various events throughout the River Valley region,” said Dr. Brandon Chase Goldsmith, Executive Director of the Fort Smith International Film Festival. “We’re grateful to the Ozark Mountain Music Festival for recognizing how movies and music can come together to expand the cultural experience for attendees.” Director Beth Turner brings a uniquely multidisciplinary perspective to the project. A creative force whose work spans filmmaking, music, invention, education, and digital media, Turner is deeply committed to authentic storytelling that highlights the human experience. This special screening underscores the shared vision of the River Valley Film Society and the Ozark Mountain Music Festival to bring film, music, and storytelling together in ways that create riche r, more immersive cultural experiences for audiences throughout our region.
